Situation:
Kingspan CEE is present throughout the Central European region. It operates three manufacturing plants, or sub-divisional headquarters (CZ, PL, HU), nine dealerships (DE, SK, RO, LT, EE, AT, HR, YU, UA) and numerous travelling agents (LV, BY).
The company serves 240 customers in 14 countries, of whom 50 % use laptop computers.
People in the project:
Three administrators (CZ, HU, PL) provide technical IT support to end users, administer PC workstations and servers, and manage integration of manufacture lines. Another four specialists at divisional level are dedicated to development and implementation of ERP and CRM systems and to IT management.

- The CEE division has been charged with drawing up implementation instructions for other organisational units.
In our case, utilisation of the DCOM technology on users' desktops proved beneficial, combined with a login script for laptop users who work irregularly in the office.
An elegant solution was found in co-operation with the technical support department for ensuring consistency in sequence number lists administered independently at separate locations. Within weeks, similar possibilities in consolidating results can be expected as there are now for the licence module.
Assets management:
We have also turned our attention to ensuring highest possible efficiency in utilisation of the Asset Management module. Our intention is to provide the administrator with the power to carry out all operation related to objects linked to users directly from the Users overview. We are also considering implementation of access rights for a specific system as a special Assets object.
Reasons?
- It will enable detailed records of who had what access rights and when
- In case an employee leaves the company, it will be easy to establish what systems the user is to be deleted from, and what objects have been linked to such them
- It will provide comprehensive data necessary for IT management in a single system, with easy consolidation of data from several sources
- AP will encompass all IT Administrator's work
Summary:
- It becomes apparent that co-ordinated implementation of AuditPro across all European offices of Kingspan Group will provide a more powerful instrument than originally planned.
- The potential by far exceeds mere licence administration - AP should become the basic tool for IT Managers, taking over all registration and administration of equipment, documents, service contracts and access rights, beside the basic functions of SW administration.
- Updates in version 4.6 as well as the accommodating approach of developers to our specific requirements convince us that to opt for AuditPro was a good decision.
