• DCOM is disabled on the computer.

It can be enabled by a registry entry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole]
"EnableDCOM"="Y" "EnableRemoteConnect"="Y"

• Remote computer is switched off.
• The name of a non-nexisting computer was entered
• TCP/IP is not properly installed (can be verified i.e. by PING command)
• Windows XP SP2 - the scan.exe application is not as allowed program on Windows Firewall listed (or bad path is entered)

Warning:

If You have e.g. Symantec other Antivirus software installed You need to disable the Internet Worm protection or add the scan.exe application as exception.
